Anthony Flessas is proud to present his first feature film!
The long awaited feature length prequel to Anthony Flessas and SP Pictures acclaimed short film, JUMPER, SILENCE OF MIND is a dark drama which tells the story of a young man haunted by childhood memories of an abusive father who lurks in his nightmares. Not certain of that which is dream and that which is reality, he must confront his past in order to find hope for his future.
SILENCE OF MIND was shot on location in Memphis, TN and features an all local cast including acclaimed actor David Caffey, Georgiana Sheats and Tyler Farrell who not only plays the dramatic lead role of Tommy, he also wrote and co-produced the film.
Also returning to reprise her breakout role as Mandy is Sharon Miller. The film also marks the introduction of Price Bullock as Young Tommy.
Shot over the course of four months and edited for over a year, SILENCE OF MIND is the first feature film to be released by newcomer film company, SP Pictures. The film boasts an impressive original score, performed by Pinionist (http://www.pinionist.net/) and composed by Australian composer and musician, Stuart Spoard.
Already receiving insider acclaim and buzz, SILENCE OF MIND, is sure to be a festival favorite, marking powerful performances and beautifully photographed by Directors of Photography Bruce Henry, Jeremy Mews and Ryan Goble.

Hey Folks!
This is my first web update, and the first posting on the new site!
So? Doesn't it look great!?
Matt has done a wonderful job with the site and I'm very pleased! For those of you out there who have checked it out, let us know if you've run into any issues; if vid isn't playing or other such troubles so we can fix it and make it a great site to visit!
Here's what to look for in the future! We'll soon be adding a page that will show audiences the Evolution of a Score.
Stuart Spoard's score to SILENCE OF MIND is proving to be one incredible film score, so we decided to show you how various pieces of music for a scene (called a cue) evolve, via notes and discussions between myself as the director and Stuart as the composer.
This has been a long and sometimes difficult task for both Stuart and me since I live in Memphis, TN and Stuart is thousands of miles away in Australia. Composing via the internet is a strange and challenging experience.
I will also be asking Stuart to say a few words for this page.
By the way, if you haven't checked out the link to Stuart's site, go check out his more aggressive and powerful music over at http://www.pinionist.net/. This is what sold me on him as my composer, such range and passion.
That page will be up and running soon, so keep an eye out for that and many other wonderful changes coming to SPPictures.com!
Two more things to share:
First of all we've submitted to be screened at the Memphis International Film Festival in April 2005, and I'm very confident that we'll be accepted. This will mark our world premiere and we're fast putting the finishing touches on a film I am very proud of!
Last and most certainly not least, Happy Ten Year Anniversary on his transplant to our Young Tommy, Price Bullock! I cannot imagine life, or SILENCE OF MIND, without him! And a special thanks to his aunt Barbara for giving him her gift of life so that he could continue to be with us all and bless our lives!
Well, that's it for the first official update. More to come!

The latest news on SILENCE OF MIND!
February 16, 2005
Hello everyone!
I am so happy and proud to say that the score for SILENCE is progressing wonderfully! Stuart Spoard, our extremely talented composer, is composing his heart out and delivering one of the best film score's I have heard, not to mention the best Indie DV film score ever!
As for the film, it's very near completion and we're awaiting word from Memphis International Film Festival on whether we are an Official Selection. Word should come very soon, and when I hear from them I'll post here!
That's about it for the moment. The time draws near when everyone will get to experience a film I am very proud of! Your patience will...I believe...be very rewarded!
